Expedition India

At the turn of May and June 2008, we participated in the expedition, at the request of the National Parks Dandeli, Anashi forest and Bannerghata in the state of Karnataka, as consultants of parks and university's students. This project was a continuation of our previous reconnaissance visit to the area in the autumn of 2008. The goal of the expedition was to map the biodiversity of the family Sphingidae on the sites, to compare the species composition and confirmation or denial of the family presence in comparison with publications Fauna of British India - Moths Volume 5 (Thomas Reid Davys Bell & FB Scot), 1937.
